Owner, KA - Equine Therapy
Kylie gained her veterinary nurse certificate through TAFE NSW while with Equine Vets in Scone. During this time, she worked in both routine and critical care nursing, foaling and breeding both in a hospital environment and on farm.
In 2011 she joined The University of Queensland Equine Specialist Hospital. During her time at UQ, she worked in emergency, surgery, recovery, CT scan, Nuclear Scintigraphy, ICU, isolation, critical care, overnight nursing, medical and surgical workups, and lameness workups.
On top of this, she has experience in teaching and demonstrating, making her a gifted communicator to help owners understand how they can best help their horses. Kylie will regularly work with other professionals in your horse's care team to find the best way to support your horse through their rehabilitation journey including speaking with your vet, farrier, trimmer, or trainer.
When Kylie left vet nursing to pursue equine physical therapy full-time, she added more tools to her repertoire including Myofascial Release, a range of further education with Equinology, the Equi-Tape™ Methodology, red light and blue light therapy, and thermal imaging.
Kylie has an incredible affinity with horses, she’s incredibly good at listening to and understanding their needs. Her deep connection with her four-legged clients is clear to all those who have worked with her. She’s passionate about helping horses in discomfort and supporting them through rehabilitation to long careers as sound, happy athletes.
Kylie was so impressed with the positive effects of redlight therapy but was disappointed that so many of the red light products on the market were at a prohibitive price point for her clients. In order to solve this issue, Kylie began to produce her own line of red light products. Kylie’s red light products are designed specifically for equine and canine applications, they are lightweight, and produce specific wavelengths shown to have therapeutic effects. In Kylie’s opinion, red light therapy is one of the safest and easiest ways to support your horse's health between body work sessions, she would love every owner to have red light in their horse care toolbox.
